I read the reviews while I was in the ER with my 80 year old Dad. I thought oh wow there’s no way it can be that bad BUT it is. Absolutely horrible service. The only shining star was the ER Dr. My dad had to use the restroom and the nurse handed me the urinal REALLY? Waited forever to be discharged. I will make the extra drive to Harris HEB next time.
I told them from the beginning that I was antibiotic resistant & a culture needed to be run. This was after they took my sample, never spoke to me & left me alone for almost 4 hours. The doctor said it's standard to run a culture, it's always done. The antibiotic I'm taking isn't working, so I called the lab to see what my culture said. Guess what..? They didn't run one, it wasn't ordered.
My wife just had a procedure done here. We saw the mediocre reviews and almost put it off. However, we went through with it and found the staff pleasant and capable. The facility is a little dated and the cafeteria was lousy but every person we dealt with was great.
not another human being for hours, no one explaining anything, & of course, being lied to. Great care, right? I've heard awful things about this place, but it's close. Never again! They should not be allowed to see patients. Next call... my attorney.
One year ago this month (Sept 1 2016) I was admitted through the Emergency Room. These people saved my life with their expertise and for that I am so grateful. I was diagnosed with a very severe West Nile. (If you dont know the symptoms, google it. It is bad stuff) I was on life support for the first 4 days. The care & concern from these people was so much appreciated. I am so grateful to be alive today thanks to Medical City North Hills. Thanks to all of your there that was able to diagnose my problem & gave me the care that I needed to survive. Thanks to you I was able to recover & I am doing great one year later. Thank you so much & God bless you all.
This place is not only a joke.. it's dangerous. I was a nurse for 10 years & after being a patient on Saturday night, I would say RUN, don't walk away from here.
Worst hospital I have ever seen! After hitting the call button, nobody even responds for 15-30 minutes and then ask if there is an issue and then at least another 20 minutes before somebody comes down to your room. Nurses waited an hour to bring pain medication after it was requested, even though it was time to be given when requested. Social workers don’t even know what they are supposed to be doing, and can’t be bothered to do their job.
