Pretty much stole my sons car, he was trying to get his car repaired, they towed it on Saturday while he was on his way with a trailer! Saturday is his day off. He couldn't do it any faster!
The officer made my husband do a field sobriety test ( he had one glass of wine with dinner over 3 hours prior) and I'm not sure why.
I know some of these fine individuals personally. They are fine upstanding people who put their lives on the line everyday to serve the city of NRH.
The other night we were coming home a little after midnight. We were driving the speed limit, driving safely and using turn signals.
It appears that they do a pretty good job of enforcing the law by judging from all of the people writing reviews and complaining about being caught breaking the law. I got a good chuckle out of reading all their "reviews".
The officer he called for backup said that this is how they "make contact with the community " and tried to reassure that this stop wasn't just an excuse to pull us over because case law gives them the right to pull us over.
I have had nothing but good experiences with the NRH Police. I can be hyper critical critical of LEO as a whole. But, these guys (and gals) do a fabulous job.
We don't get to go out a lot but when our son is able to stay with my mom we like to go get dinner and hang out late.
The arbitrary nature of the officers actions still bothers us. I wasnt able to find a complaint section on their website and im sure if I called it would go no where. From what I've heard this is pretty par for the course for NRH. Doing anything after midnight is suspicious, I wish I had known NRH had a curfew.
We were pulled over a block from from out house because the lisence plate light was supposedly out.
More than once they have pulled my husband and me over for no reason while we were driving home. Apparently it's suspicious to drive after midnight.
What jerks...
To make a very long story short NRH PD has been the nicest people to me since 3:30 this afternoon. I was stranded on the side of the road with the slash in the side of my tire. The only persons who did the right thing were the dispatch and officer from NRH PD. I think his name was McCrary.
20 minutes later, after I'm sure most of our neighbors saw us pulled over we were allowed to leave after they determined my husband was in fact very sober. We got home and lo and behold the lisence plate light was "fixed"! ....go figure.
